Dr Bailey brings over 30 years’ experience to her role (and your teeth). Graduating from the University of Otago in 1990, Fiona spent a year at Waikato Hospital followed by appointments at group practices in Cambridge (England), Hamilton (Dental Excellence) and Auckland(Fraser, Smith, Lowe).
Born and raised in Hamilton, Fiona returned permanently to her hometown in 2006. Since then she has worked at Hillcrest Dental Centre and Rototuna Dental. You may have also met Fiona when she stood in for Margaret Thomson at Relax Dental or for Zaf here at Dental Excellence.
A dedicated member of the profession, Fiona has been the Secretary of the Waikato Bay of Plenty Branch of the NZ Dental Association since 2008. In 2024 she was made an Honorary Life Member of the WBOP Branch in acknowledgement of her service. Also in 2024, Fiona was elected to become a fellow of the International College of Dentists.
Fiona loves the endless challenge that dentistry brings and believes that a positive experience at the dentist ensures lifelong dental health. She aims to make you feel as relaxed as possible during treatment. Her skill and gentle approach combine to deliver excellent results for you and your family.
Married with a son and daughter, Fiona is a dedicated gardener and enjoys skiing, walking and reading.
